I want to thank everyone who participated in such a wonderful event. I will difinitely remember being a part of the first Battle of the Burgers in Atlanta and especially proud to have been a part of such a great cause. I look forward to next year and being a part of an even greater event.

This was the first food event I’ve ever been to where I wasn’t able to use all of my tickets. I was STUFFED after this. And the food was great just awesome. Thanks for throwing such a great event.

My only criticism is the way votes were cast. I don’t think a lot of people texted in their votes, because they were too busy eating, forgot to do it, or just didn’t know to do it. How about giving people voting tickets, and letting them toss those tickets into a voting jar at the booths they like? This is how they do it at the Stone Mountain Chili Cookoff, and it’s always worked really well.

FARM BURGER ruled them all!
People must not have texted in their votes, because in EVERY line people were talking about Farm Burger being the BEST!

I must say, I did not use all my tickets either, and I was SO FULL! What a GREAT day.

Next year, a larger space would be PERFECT for the event! I would defiantly attend for a 2nd time :-)

The first ever Battle of the Burgers was awesome overall. I think that it should definitely be an annual staple for the town that knows and loves burgers. That being said, here are my thoughts for improvement next year:
1. Size matters: plan for a larger turnout. Logistics for the event this year are obviously unpredictable. However, given the crowds for the even this year, plan accordingly for size, line situation, etc.

2. Pricing. 20$ for what amounts to endless burgers is actually a great price… HOWEVER, allow for purchase of other items besides fries/shakes with tickets. Most people I ran into gave over half of their tickets away. Find a way to balance the price/value of tickets.

3. More smokers/grills. This actually helps with the logistics part and actually the preparation for the customers. Some burgers ended up being undercooked probably due to the number of people waiting. More grills would help.

Thanks for putting this together for us Atlantans. I can’t wait for next year’s battle!
